Midwest Food Bank Event
Our health care workers have been in battle for over 9 months, putting themselves in harm’s way, working long hours caring for the sick and dying. In order to share our support, we are putting together an event to bring a smile to these essential workers, from the caretakers who mop the floors and empty the trash to the technicians, nurses, doctors and administration at Piedmont Fayette and Newnan hospitals.
Members of the Fayette and Coweta community will come together at the MidWest Food Bank on January 23 at 1 pm to fill bags with water, snacks, chips, candy and a card of thanks/encouragement. We hope we can brighten the lives of over 5000 vital healthcare workers by this small act of kindness.
We will need a lot of people to write notes, help with setup, packaging, delivery, and cleanup. I encourage each of you to reach out to your family and friends and ask them to join us for an afternoon of community service. Only those who sign up on the website can participate.
