All parishioners are invited to our Annual Parish Picnic on Saturday, September 30, from 6-9 pm, after the 5 pm Mass.  Enjoy food, fun activities, and a bonfire with s’mores.  Hot dogs, hamburgers, condiments, water, and lemonade will be provided by the Parish.  All families are asked to bring a potluck dish to share and folding chairs to sit around the bonfire.  Easels will be in the narthex during the weekend of 9/23-24 to sign up to attend.  You can also sign up using the following link:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0449ADA82DA20-smmparish.  We hope to see you there.

VIRTUS Training is required by the Archdiocese of Atlanta for St. Mary Magdalene
volunteers.  It is a three hour in-person class.   If you are interested in volunteering or are a new volunteer who missed the training in August, our next training classes will be on Monday, September 25 (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm) and Saturday, October 14 (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm).  Please register for one of these classes at https://archatl.com/ministries-services/safe-environment/safe-environment-compliance/ 

The Knights of Columbus are hosting a “Wings for Charity” fund raiser on Thursday, September 14 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Newnan.  Either for Lunch or Dinner, stating you are supporting the Knights will result in 10% of your bill amount being donated to the Knights for their charitable giving.  By the way, Thursdays are also BOGO free boneless wings!

There will be a Healing Mass on Wednesday, August 9 at 7:00 pm.  Anyone desiring the

sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is encouraged to attend.  

VIRTUS Training is required by the Archdiocese of Atlanta for St. Mary Magdalene

The Feast of St. Mary Magdalene is July 22.  In celebration of our Patronal Feast, we will celebrate her liturgy on Saturday and Sunday, July 22-23.  We will also have an ice cream social following the Noon Mass on Sunday, July 23.  All are welcome!  Hope to see you there!

St. Mary Magdalene is hosting a Patriotic Concert Sunday, July 2 at 5 pm.  There will be a reception following the concert.  Bring you family, friends, and neighbors and enjoy an evening of fun and good music.

We are excited to announce the kickoff of our annual scholarship.  The scholarships are available to parishioners of SMM, members of Knights of Columbus Council 12862, and immediate family members of either.

The applications are available online at http://kofc12862.square.site.  Paper copies are available upon request.  All applications are due by Monday July 3rd.  Please note that these awards are intended for full time students enrolled at a Catholic school for the school year covered in this application.  $500 Scholarships will be awarded for 4 categories:  Preschool through 5th Grade, Middle School (6th-8th), High School (9th-12th) and College.
